Rory Allen - Tribute to the King
Presented at the 2017 Carlyle Fun Dayz by Pure Chem
Saskatchewan’s own Rory Allen is a much loved and respected professional entertainer who draws capacity crowds with his phenomenal vocal talent, charisma and audience rapport. Rory has achieved a successful full-time music career in the Saskatchewan marketplace and beyond for over twenty years.
Rory has performed with the Regina Symphony Orchestra, as well as with the Dove-Award winning quartet, Elvis Presley’s Imperials. He has also been privileged to sing and record on several occasions with Grammy Award-winning quartet, the legendary Jordanaires, from Nashville, Tennessee. Rory’s last performances with the Jordanaires not only raised much-needed money and awareness for the Regina Food Bank, but the resulting live concert CD In My Father’s House was nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award for Outstanding Christian Recording.
Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada, Rory has always enjoyed entertaining people and from an early age he thrived on stage. Gospel music and singing in church played a huge part in developing his rich, clear and powerful singing voice. Recognized for their numerous charitable and fundraising activities, Rory and his wife, Lorie, were awarded Saskatchewan Centennial Medals, named Citizens of the Year by CTV Regina and presented with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee Medals.
Rory Allen is in demand for private and corporate functions throughout the year and is a proven draw and crowd favorite as a regular casino headline entertainer, playing to packed houses and standing ovations. Whether backed up by his fabulous 11-piece band or performing solo, Rory fills his full-length shows with solid gold Elvis hits, drawing from a vast repertoire of over 180 rock and roll classics, ballads and heartfelt gospel songs. His authentic vocals and stunning costumes combined with his remarkable energy and audience rapport all add up to a great entertainment package.
Bring back those good-time memories from the 50's, 60's, and 70's.
